                                     Re: Starring Lists/Regulations 2009

Please submit your first starring list of the season to reach me by Monday 13^th April. Should you wish for reference to receive a copy of your final list from last year please contact me.

For clubs fielding only one competitive side, no starring list requirement applies. However all clubs should submit a full alphabetical list of playing members by 1^st May or before the first cup match for teams competing in cup competition only.

There have been no changes in registration/starring regulations. Please ensure that regulations are followed in the case of players changing clubs.

There are changes in the playing regulations for league competitions. I attach details. There will also be substantial changes in cup competition regulations, particularly those relating to matches affected by weather. Details of these will be circulated before cup competitions commence.

Some days ago I circulated the new regulation regarding umpiring in Junior cricket. Following representations from a number of clubs, I have accepted that there was a lack of clarity concerning the make up of umpiring lists. Accordingly an amended wording is attached..

There are no changes in starting times for junior cricket. However I enclose details since there is sometimes uncertainty at the start of the season.

The full regulations will be on the LCU website shortly and the LCU handbook will also be available in the near future.

I would prefer to get all results electronically.  My address is as last season – michael.sharp@enterprise-ireland.com.  I will circulate a suitable template shortly. For clubs who wish to use their own template please ensure that it includes all the information needed.
