REGULATION CHANGES IN JUNIOR CRICKET COMPETITIONS 2009

 (i) League Competitions

 The length of Intermediate grade league matches is reduced from 90 to 80 overs.

 The maxima for overs per bowler in Senior 2/3, Intermediate A/B and Junior A/B/C are reduced.

The current position is therefore as follows:

            Length of matches - Limitation on bowlers

Senior 2/3 -100 overs – Maximum overs per bowler is 10

Middle A/B – 90 overs - Maximum overs per bowler is 10 (no change)

Intermediate A/B }    80 overs – Maximum overs per bowler 8

Junior A/B/C        } 

(ii) Cup Competitions

The length of Middle, Middle 2, Intermediate, Junior and Minor Cup matches is now 40 overs a side.

The maxima for overs per bowler in all cup competitions are reduced.

The current position is therefore as follows:

Length of matches - Limitation on bowlers

Senior 2 -50 overs per side  – Maximum overs per bowler is 10

Middle A/B – }

Middle 2        }

Intermediate }    40 overs per side – Maximum overs per bowler is 8

Junior           }         

Minor            }

(iii) Cup matches affected by weather.

There are substantial changes relating to the start/continuation of these games. Details will be circulated shortly.
