Halverstown Cricket Club is one of the oldest "country" clubs in Ireland having played the game continuously and without interruption since the 1880's. The original location was at the townsland of Halverstown from where the club takes its name, but the present ground is to be found on the banks of the Liffey in the stunning landscape of Harristown near Kilcullen. The Club caters for all standards and cricketers. There are two teams that play in the Leinster League, a Junior team and a "social" team that faces a rich variety of cricket elevens from around the country and abroad. Touring sides are very welcome and can make contact through the Social team captain.
The club is located 45 minutes from Dublin, about 10 minutes from the M9. It is within easy distance of the city, the airport and ferries. The location also suits a circuit of South East teams. There are many good golf clubs around and the Curragh Racecourse is only 15 minutes away.
